Vilma Santos was impressed on how Kim Chiu acted out scenes from her movie Dahil Mahal Kita: The Dolzura Cortez Story during an acting workshop for the Star For All Season’s ABS-CBN special at the Dolphy Theater.

Kim was surprised when she was told that she had earned Santos’ praise and said that she would love to do the remake if given the chance, but admits that she really needs to work hard to match expectations.

Kim Chiu was elected to the ABS-CBN A-List via a special VIP pass event thrown by StarStudio Magazine (a network publication) at The Manor Superclub in Pasig City.

“The Kim Chiu Thanksgiving Party” was an all-pink, star-studded event. Among her guests were Gerald Anderson, Melissa Ricks and fashion designer Hindy Weber-Tantoco, Erich Gonzales, Beauty Gonzales, Joaqui Valdez, Fred Payawan and Ram Sagad.

A special audio-visual presentation of her journey to stardom surprised even Kim. The presentation included greetings from ABS-CBN Publishing big boss Ernie Lopez and Kim’s “ASAP” co-stars Gary Valenciano, Piolo Pascual, Rafael Rossel, John Lloyd Cruz, Jake Cuenca, Angelica Panganiban and Matt Evans.

Kim already missing Gerald

Kim Chiu admits she’d feel sad if Gerald Anderson’s next big project would be with Sarah Geronimo.

“I think it’s understandable,” explains Kim. “We’ve been together as a love team for a long time now. It’s been three years. In a way, I’ll be at a loss if ever my next screen assignments are not with him. It’s still different when he’s my leading man. I’m used to working with him.

“Now, if he’d be paired with Sarah, that’s fine with me. That’s how things are in showbiz. I’ll be happy for him. ABS-CBN just wants the best for us. I trust their decision. As for me, I’ll be okay with whoever gets paired with me in the coming days. We’re already paired with new partners. But as of now, I don’t want to think about it,” she states.

“Actually, what we have right now is a special friendship. As for the real score, there’s nothing definite. I just go with the flow. What’s important is that we’re enjoying each other’s company. And one thing more, it’s hard to focus on a romantic relationship at this point in time considering my busy schedule. I can’t give enough time for the guy if ever and that would be unfair,” says Kim.

Meanwhile, because of its very good showing in the ratings chart, ABS-CBN decided to extend Tayong Dalawa for a few more months. (This is what I call milking the cow dry…Ed.)

Contagious Sweetness

Kim Chiu, Jake Cuenca, Gerald Anderson and the multi-awarded cast of "Tayong Dalawa" (weeknights after "Only You" on ABS-CBN), are in a euphoric state because the series has stayed on top of the ratings since its pilot episode.

My son IC told me that during his shoot with Kim and Gerald, Gerald would always get a kick out of scaring Kim in a malambing way.

Kimerald's sweetness is contagious. No wonder the viewers are hooked.

Kim Chiu and Jake Cuenca, nagkasakitan sa Tayong Dalawa

Kapansin-pansin ang mga kalmot at pasa sa balikat ni Kim Chiu nang makita namin siya noong linggo sa kanilang mall show ni Gerald Anderson sa SM Rosales. Hindi mo talaga siya matatanggalan ng tingin dahil parang kalmot ni 'wolverine' ang drama ng mga marka sa kanyang braso. Parehong braso ni Kim ang may mga pasa at nagtaka tuloy kami kung napaano at saan niya nakuha ang mga ito. Tinanong namin mismo si Kim at sinabi nitong nakuha daw niya ang kanyang mga pasa at marks sa braso sa isang matinding eksena na kinunan nila ni Jake Cuenca sa kanilang teleseryeng Tayong Dalawa. "Nagka-pisikilan na! Nakuha ko to sa eksena namin ni Jake. Abangan niyo sa Tayong Dalawa." paliwanag ni Kim.

Naexcite kami dahil nakuwento sa amin ni Miss Mercy na Executive Producer ng naturang teleserye ang mga kaabang-abang na eksena na nakunan nila Kim, Gerald at Jake. Hindi mo talaga bibitiwan, pero siyempre hindi namin puwedeng ikuwento sa inyo dahil ayaw naman naming ma-pre-empt ang mga upcoming episodes nila!

Abangan niyo na lang ang Tayong Dalawa gabi-gabi sa Primetime Bida ng ABS-CBN pagkatapos ng Only You at bago mag Pinoy Bingo Night.

Well guess what Kim Chiu doesn't want to get into any serious relationship just yet.

Young actress Kim Chiu said she would rather not go into a serious relationship right now because she is afraid to get hurt.

A teary-eyed Chiu, who turned 19 Sunday, confessed to “The Buzz” that her fear to commit stemmed from the separation of her Chinese father and Filipino mother.

“Takot din ako… Ayokong masaktan muna. Siyempre, lagi yan pag mag-boyfriend, mag-girlfriend hindi pwedeng hindi masaktan,” Chiu said.

Chiu and on-screen partner Gerald Anderson have publicly admitted their feelings for each other but the actress did not want them to get serious just yet. The actress is also glad because Anderson is not pressuring her.

When asked to give a message to her family who is based in Cebu, Chiu said: “Thank you dahil lagi silang nandiyan. Kapag wala akong time, tumatawag sila. Tapos pumupunta [sila] dito sa Manila tapos sinu-surprise nila ako… tsaka nagta-trabaho naman ako para sa kanila.”

Kimberly Sue Yap Chiu or simply known as Kim Chiu , (born April 19, 1990) is a Chinese Fiipino actress, singer and model, the daughter of a Chinese father and a Filipina mother. Chiu was born in Taclobaan City, Leyte, Philippines, but immigrated together with her family in Cebu City, Philippines at the age of 3.
Chiu was the first Big Winner of Pinoy Big Brother: Teen Edition, beating 14 other teenage housemates.

The Big Night
The Teen Big Four dressed like princes and princesses in The Big Night: The Fairy Tale Finale of the Pinoy Big Brother: Teen Edition. Local teen stars and the Celebrity Big Four attended the show. Toni Gonzaga, the original host of the show was back to host the event together with Mariel Rodriguez and ex-Celebrity Housemate 3rd Big Placer, Bianca Gonzales. Clare Cabuigin of Bukidnon was fourth with 18.5% of votes. General Santos City native, Gerald Anderson exited the Palace Confession Room and was 3rd place scoring 19.4%. And first runner-up was the Ateneo student Mikee Lee, with 20.7% of the votes cast. Kim Chiu ranked first among the four with 41.4% and was named the Teen Big Winner. Included in the prizes are 1 million pesos (US$19,000), a condominium unit, a 4-year college scholarship courtesy of AMA Computer University, among other prizes worth 3 million pesos (US$57,000).

Life after Pinoy Big Brother: Teen Edition
The day after The Big Night, The Big Four already appeared in different TV shows. Kim, Mikee, Gerald and Clare together with the ex-Teen Housemates appeared in the Sunday noontime show of ABS-CBN, ASAP 06. The ex-Teen Housemates danced the Pinoy Big Brother: Teen Edition's theme song, "Kabataang Pinoy" (Filipino Youth) by Itchyworms. Kim sang her song, Peng You. She wore a cheongsam dress with her hair set similar to Chun Li's. Hosts Luis Manzano and Piolo Pasqual announced that Kim and the rest of the ex-Teen Housemates are now part of the Kapamilya (Family, the name given to ABS-CBN talents under ABS-CBN's Star Magic. All 14 Teen Housemates will be receiving management contracts from the network.

In the afternoon, the four appeared in the Sunday showbiz talk show The Buzz. Kim admitted that she's dreaming of both becoming an actress and a singer. She also said that if given a chance, she would choose Gerald, a co-housemate and a close friend, to be her leading man. Mikee, a former partner inside the house, said he was fine with that explaining that he looks at Kim only as a special friend.
Later that evening, they staged Pinoy Big Brother: The Big Reunion at the Aliw Theater in Pasay City, where all the housemates from the Pinoy Big Brother, Season 1, Celebrity Edition and Teen Edition join in one stage. Kim and Gerald had the loudest support from the fans, naming their love team as Kimerald.
A motorcade was held on June 17 at Cebu City, which started from the Mactan Cebu International Airport and ended at the Provincial Capitol. The next day, Chiu became the guest of honor and performer at a concert at Ayala Center Cebu.
Kim is one of the new endorsers of Bench, a local clothing line. She was paired with Gerald in print ads with a caption, "Perfect Pair", advertising the denim collection of Bench. The pair then starred in an ABS-CBN television program Love Spell.
